Morning Breakfast Guidelines

Leaders Responsibility:
Prior to the Shift:
Work with the group leaders to assign group members to specific tasks using the Breakfast Shift Sheet.
Check with the Breakfast Coordinator before assigning duties to see if there
have been any changes.
Assign the tasks to group members, make sure that they know exactly what they are supposed to do.
During the Shift:
Report to the church with your group on time.
Stay at the breakfast area throughout your shift
Remain on duty until the other team is ready to take over and the Breakfast Coordinator has released your team.Make Sure that your team members are doing their assigned tasks.
Record statistics on the Leaders Daily Report and the Decisions Sheet.
Monitor the Breakfast and the transportation of beach goers to and from the Breakfast by the Hotline vans.
Where possible have some students praying during the Breakfast, but only if there are enough people sharing. Otherwise have people pray as they share.
Follow the instructions of the Breakfast Coordinator, she is the final authority at Breakfast.
Setting Up the Breakfast:
Take out all the rectangle, not round, tables and chairs from the church.
Set up the tables and chairs in front of the cooking unit on the parking lot.
Get out supplies as directed by the Breakfast Coordinator.
Prepare food items (butter, juice, syrup, etc.) as directed by the Breakfast Coordinator.
Get out Tracts, Hotline cards, Sunscreen, and Beach Questionnaires to use.
Hang Banners, and get banners for advertisements.
Get phones, vans, and people ready to provide transportation to breakfast.
Cleaning Up Breakfast:
Wipe off all tables and chairs.
Take down all tables and chairs.
Put tables and chairs in the church.
Pick up all trash.
Clean up all pans, utensils, etc. as directed by the Breakfast Coordinator.
Put up all supplies.
Have the team members do any other task assigned by the Breakfast Coordinator.
Check with the Breakfast and Lunch Coordinators to make sure all the tasks are done before dismissing your team.
Student Breakfast Assignments/Duties:
Table Captains: (one per table)
Make Sure a Beach Reacher is at your table at all times.
Make sure everyone sitting at your table has an opportunity to have a conversation with a Beach Reacher hopefully about Jesus.
Move those who have finished eating, but still need to talk to another location, so others can use the table.
Make sure that there are enough Tracts, Hotline cards, Questionnaires, and Sunscreen available at your table.
Get the following information to your group leader by the end of your shif
t# of conversations about Jesus at your table.
# of decisions at your table. (make sure you get contact information to put on the Decisions Sheet).
# of people prayed with at your table.
# of people renewed their commitment to Christ at your table.
Make sure all of your assigned tables are cleaned.
Make sure that all the trash around your tables is picked up.
Greeters: (2-3 at the beginning of the line, 3-4 waving people in off the street)
Enthusiastically welcome everyone that comes up to eat breakfast.
Direct the people where to go and what to do.
Street greeters hold up free breakfast banner and wave people in to eat.
Trashers: (2-3 students )
Empty all trash bags into the dumpster.
Replace trash bags in the trash cans.
Sharers: (as many as needed)
Talk with people at the tables
Try to find an opportunity to share with them about Jesus.
Drivers: (1-2 as needed)
Drive around the Island to pick up people and bring them to the breakfast.
Get names of people to pick up from the Hotline or just look for people.
Phone Attendant: (1-2 as needed)
Answer the Hotline phone during breakfast.
Assign the Spring Breakers needing a ride to the Van on duty at breakfast.
Van Phone Operators: (1-2 as needed)
Answer the cell phone in the van for those needing rides to breakfast.
Make conversation with those who are picked up for breakfast.
Record all the information on those who are given a ride.
Assignments as needed by the Breakfast Coordinator:
(have student prepared to serve if needed, if not needed they can pray till they are needed.)
Juicer: (2 people)
Set up cups and mix juice as needed.
Pour the juice into cups.
Distribute juice to Spring Breakers.
Mixers: (2 people)
Mix the pancake batter.
Take the batter to the cooks.
Servers: (2 people)
Work in the pancake line as need to serve the pancakes.
Syrup People: (2 people)
Refill syrup dispensers with syrup from the gallon containers.
