Direct the Conversation to Spiritual Matters
Step 4
Discuss the Gospel
What is Your Journey ?
It is more than your personal testimony. It does not deals with the mechanics of how you became a Christian, but a specific fleshly characteristic of your life that has been transformed through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
The purpose of Your Journey is not to explain how to become a Christian, but to find a fleshy trait that a Non-Christian struggles with and share how a relationship with Jesus has changed that part of your life and can change their life.
What is an Example ?
Before I entered a relationship with Jesus,
I had a horrible temper. Anything would set me
off. I remember one time that a friend of mine said something behind my back. So, I found them and let
them have the full fiery of my wrath. If people had not been there to calm me
down, I would have torn him to pieces. Now that I have relationship with
Jesus, my temper is under control. Oh, don’t get me wrong. I still get mad
at people and things. But, I don’t blow
up anymore. I remember just the other
day someone was talking behind my back and it didn’t even effect me. Had
I not come to Jesus, I would probably be in jail for murder right now.
